Just released my first use of Twilio’s API. It’s a simple feature — put in your phone number and it texts you a link to download an app — but Twilio made it about a 2hr task from start to completion.
I am unbelievably impressed by Twilio’s ease of use and powerful capabilities. In my opinion, it’s the way an API should be: simple to get started, but ramps up complexity right along with your needs and knowledge.
P.S. We couldn’t release this feature to Android phone owners because, for some ridiculous reason, URLs in text messages in Android don’t automatically link up and therefore don’t make it easy to click through them. Seriously, Google, get on that.
